My mom has just received the maturity value of her insurance policy and she wanted a grand party to celebrate her sixty fifth birthday with the immediate family. My mom had always loved the tropics – white sand, beaches, tropical weather and warm nights being lulled by the sound of the ocean. We tried looking at tropical islands tours and were very pleased with the offered packages. We found this really private island that is for rent, and looking at our budget and our concerns we knew that that was the one, our dream island getaway “in the flesh” so to speak.
The island seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, a topic paradise with wooden huts, with – breathe deeply – your own private spa and infinity pool in front of the huts that stand as bedrooms. The package includes beauty and spa services, food prepared especially as per your approved menu for the entire duration of your stay, reef diving (which is the fascination of many of our nieces and nephews), and so many other services as if the first few were not enough. Being in the middle of nowhere we discovered that the trip to and from the island will be quite tedious, no direct flights, several boat rides and other public transport before we get to our chosen destination. Fortunately the island owner personally recommended that we get jet charter prices that were surprisingly still budget-friendly. So it is all set. We are all going away on an extended weekend dream vacation to celebrate our mom’s 65th.
